Obama Says to Spread Wealth Around

Obama went on television today and talked about how awesome it is for the less fortunate among us. If you are lucky enough to have money, however, it’s time to spread that wealth around.
On the complicated tax code:
“We will make it quicker, easier, and less expensive for you to file a return, so that April 15 is not a date that is approached with dread each year”
Uh-huh.
On tax breaks for the wealthy:
“We need to end the tax breaks for the wealthiest 2 percent of Americans, so that people like me, who are extraordinarily lucky, are paying the same rates that the wealthiest 2 percent of Americans paid when Bill Clinton was president.”
The president is “extraordinarily lucky”… meaning he didn’t work for his money? Nice of him to admit it!
On hard-working Americans:
“They need a government that is working to create jobs and opportunity for them, rather than simply giving more and more to those at the very top in the false hope that wealth automatically trickles down.”
Yes, wealth does not trickle down. Only poor people hire workers.
Obama also wants to send more people to college, give $8,000 to first time home buyers, and “simplify a monstrous tax code that is far too complicated for most Americans to understand”
I like that last part, but I won’t be holding my breath.
Finally, Obama says:
“On this April 15th, we’re reminded of the enormous responsibility that comes with handling people’s tax dollars and we’re renewing our commitment to a simpler tax code that rewards work and the pursuit of the American dream.”
A tax code that rewards work? That would be no tax code at all.
